Band Tutors was dreamed up during a living-room chat between sixteen-year-old French-horn player Kade Whitworth and his parents, Roy W. Freeman Jr. and Ashley L. Freeman. Kade planned to earn a little money tutoring younger horn players. Roy–who, with Ashley, had spent years running a local band-booster non-profit and now steers a multi-company family office–posed a bigger challenge:

Meet Our President
Kade Whitworth isn’t just a student-he’s our President and brand evangelist. He earned his first college credits through the University of Alabama Early College before his sophomore year of high school, plans to study Game Business and Esports at Full Sail University, and aims to return to Alabama for an MBA.
Long before he launched the platform, Kade was his father’s shadow and sounding board, rotating from front-line restaurant shifts to late-night deep dives into corporate finance. He could analyze a company’s SEC 10-K and interpret balance sheets and cash-flow statements before he even entered high school, giving him an uncommon grasp of how to spot opportunity and allocate capital efficiently.
Between classes he films “Tutor Spotlight” interviews and demonstrates new platform features at honor-band festivals, all while deeply supporting and playing in his French-horn section back home. His mission is crystal clear: any band student, any instrument, and skill level–quality tutoring should be one click away.
